If a genie would pop out of nowhere and grants me one wish, I'd wish to visit Vegas. Why? To be accommodated at COSMOPOLITAN, of course! This place is just the bomb! Whenever I browse through photos of its interior, I would always find myself at awe. The place is just to perfect to the point that one would want to dress up accordingly. If I were in Cosmopolitan right now, this is what I'll pack inside my bag.
One of my favorite it-girls is Katie Holmes. I find her as the perfect example for a casual chic style. The way she dresses up inspires a lot of people that you don't have to always bring out your trendy clothes or buy the latest set of clothing line, confidence and comfort are the only two things which you always need to carry.
It's been a month since my last post and I really feel bad about being inactive with my blog. A lot has happened over the past month and writing about it in a post won't be enough. Moving forward, I'll make sure all pending posts will be published and I'll really find a way to squeeze in time for my little joy.
I came up with 5 different romper looks: Boho, Classic, Edgy, Girly and Indie. For each look, I'll share to you ladies 5 tips on what makes up a specific style. I will be doing this to all of my Style Equation 101 posts in the future as a guide/reference.
I'm not sure if you guys have noticed but I cannot be unseen without a white top. Purple is by far my most favorite color but white has a lot to offer. It's classy and dynamic - you can match it with everything and that's the greatest thing about it! I went with a very light colored ensemble - white x pastel blue. I am deeply in love with my Tokyo skirt from Thrift Market! The floral print looks playful and classy and that's what I love about it, and my statement necklace screams "FAB" from afar!
Better late than never! Here are my favorites from the month of August. Just so you guys know, I've been very busy last month and that is probably why this set of favorites is quite short. Nevertheless, I want to share to you guys what fashion items, beauty products, food, and music I enjoyed last month!
If there's one thing I miss the most, it's being a school girl. To wake up early in the morning, review all past lessons for all subjects, aim for a high score on exams, and even kill myself with our feasibility study schedule, all of this have sentimental attachment to me for some reason. Now that I am living a different chapter of my life, I could hardly live the life which I got used to. I thought of dressing up like a school girl to reminisce "the feels".
Here's the thing, when I say I love floral prints, I mean it. Put it on something I don't usually wear and I swear, you'll see me wear it over and over again! For instance, this bustier top which I never thought of buying and using, it had me off guard, real bad. Somehow, out of nowhere, I fell in love with it at first sight! The subtle pastel color and the vintage print just made my jaw drop!
Just when I thought I was able to adjust myself with my current work schedule, it backfired on me. Not only that, I got sick because of amoebiasis for a week! August hasn't been nice to me. Anyway, it's nice to finally have a breather.
For this look, I went with floral + denim again but this time, with a hint of lace. This outfit is perfect for when you don't feel like dressing up but you don't want to look too casual. The lace maxi skirt gave the look an "easy breezy appeal". It was able to complement the denim top's floral embroidery as well, giving off a boho vibe.
Three cheers to my first Stylequation101 post! Hip, hip, hooray! I planned on having this posted last week but because I got busy with my training, it was just impossible. I did try to find a way to blog but a week was just barely enough for me to settle in to my hectic work schedule.
Matching floral prints and denim is a perfect equation for a boho look, especially when you try to use an earthy color palette. It is also a perfect balance between girly and edgy. I personally wear denim pants and floral tops most of the time! Here are some looks I came up with using the polyvore app.
A take on earthy colors.
Because I'm still trying to be used to my new schedule, I only limited my posts on fashion. Do look forward to tutorials, reviews, and all those kinds of stuff soon! Here's a teaser for my next post!
And here I am again with another list for my monthly favorites! Because I intentionally skipped June 2014's list, I made sure I would be able to update today. I've been busy lately and I wouldn't be able to update as often as I can but I'll try my best to find some time and squeeze in some love for my blog.
Nothing beats sporting a summery look by adding yellow to your outfit. It's been a gloomy week and I wanted to add a bright pop of color to my outfit to turn things around. Yellow has been, and will always be, my go-to happy color. To really make that color pop, I wore a cream lace top and paired it with my yellow lace shorts, yellow bensimon sneakers, and yellow clutch bag, all from Spruce.
Hey guys! You might have noticed some changes with my social media accounts which took place over the weekend. As much as I would like to share the reason behind it, I decided not to for personal reasons. So yeah, I'll be using my Chinese ancestral surname along with my nickname: Jassie Chia, for all of my social media accounts except for my exclusive Facebook account.
FROM CLICKS+STITCHES to STYLEQUATION
My blog also has a new name, from Clicks+Stitches, I renamed it to Stylequation. I noticed that I frequently use/say the word "stylequation" whenever I publish an outfit post. Because of this, I made a change to my blog's name as it reflects the content of my blog better that the former one. Also, I find it very playful since it's a combination of the words, style and equation.
NEW NAME, NEW BLOG, NEW CONTENT
Since my blog is being "reborn" I thought that it would be best to make new blog series to write about. Last June, I went through a blog slump. It made me think that my blog is becoming more of a collection of outfits which I have worn and nothing else. Somehow, I felt my blog is boring as it only revolves around outfit posts, a bit of food reviews, and some events. As a blogger, I want to share more stuff about the things I love, and so I thought of starting 2 new blog series: Stylequation101 and Style Steal, along with my 2 running series, Food Trip Saturdays and Monthly Favorites.
I really am looking forward to writing about new and fun stuff! Cheers to change!
This is the look I went with to Gil Macaibay's Fashion show last July 12, 2014. Here I am again with one of my usual style equation: White Button Down + Floral Print Bottoms. This white peek-a-boo button down from Apartment 8 gave my usual equation a twist. I find the top very sophisticated as it gave my overall look a glamorous vibe. I am obsessing over this a-line floral print skirt, it's very chic and cute. To finish my look, I used my gold necklace, white leather belt with gold buckles, leather black watch, white wedge (which I got off a pretty sweet deal with!), and my current favorite black leather bag with gold details.
I witnessed an astonishing fashion show by CDO's finest designer, Gil Macaibay III, last July 12, 2014 located at the atrium of SM City CDO. Being able to see his wonderful works which were showcased in the Philippine Fashion Week took my breath away! Browse through the photos and find out why!
Good Fellas CDO is now open for business! Grab a taste of heaven with their freshly baked, beer battered pizzas - the first in CDO. Not only that, be awed by how tumblr-ish and insta-worthy their interior design is! Thinking of revamping your instagram posts? Better check their place out!

I'm back to laid-back! After weeks of dolling up, I decided to dress down to be reunited with my style roots. Confession time! I'm not always in the mood to give effort to any of my outfit, heck, I would always be seen in a pair of shorts and a plain/printed shirt, along with my flip-flops or at times, sneakers. This outfit is one of those times when I feel all lazy and too casual.
And so, here I am with another girly outfit. I think I really am transitioning to a girly-girl style, huh? Anyway, I am loving pastel colors lately and I love it even more after adding black in it, making it look a bit classy. I ended up with a simple and dainty outfit.
Since it was Maundy Thursday, there were no malls open aside from Gaisano Mall. For us to enjoy the day, we went to 2 different parks: People's Park and then to Crocodile Park. It's been a while since the last time I went to a zoo, and surprisingly, I enjoyed visiting crocodile park.
Last Saturday, I was invited to an afternoon summer picnic party hosted by Spruce. I was so hyped up when I got the invite because, come on...
Modern Alice was the theme during the brunch we had at Missy Bon Bon. It's a good pick especially that Easter Sunday is fast approaching (although I do not actually know the reason why rabbits are associated with Easter, can someone please enlighten me?).
It's time for another Monthly Faves post! Wow! I was able to update this 3 months in a row. I'm starting to get used to this!
Kicking off the summer season with some floral fun! I know, I know. I'm too much of a floral junkie but you can't blame me for that. Similar to my previous post, I went for a pastel-themed outfit with a wee bit of floral (yeah, right) to embrace summer!
Oh, do continue reading this post if you want to win a transparent Red Rooney Sunnies from Sunnies by Charlie and a yellow daisy floral crown, handmade by CDO's very own online shop, MadeBetter2014.
I gave in to the bandwagon! Some of you might have noticed this cap from social media platforms like FB and most especially, instagram. This cap is actually for a campaign initiated by the fashion brand, WAGW (What A Girl Wants), to remind that regardless of how different we look, we are still wanted by someone.
MARCH IS HERE! I'll be busy as ever starting tomorrow (well, tonight actually) and I might not be able to update real soon. I'll be taking my finals this week and I need to pass all my requirements asap. Well anyway, I just wanted to do a quick update on thing's to look forward to for this month.
SUNDAY MORNING OOTD POST. The photo above is a teaser for my next ootd post!
MONDAY RANTS. I'll be doing a new blog segment where I basically rant on political, social, environmental, etc. stuff. IDK why but I just felt like doing one, especially since a lot has been happening lately and I want to share my views about it.
WHAT'S INSIDE MY BAG. I wanted to do an updated version of this, I think it's been over a year since I last made this post.
GIVEAWAY. I'll be throwing my first blog giveaway to celebrate 2 things: Graduation day and my Blog's anniversary. I could've made the giveaway possible last January 1, 2014 but there were too many school stuff I had to prioritize.
MARCH MONTHLY FAVE. Of course, I made a vow to myself to post monthly faves on schedule.
So, those are just few things I have for you guys for this month of MARCH. Wish me luck for my finals!
It's the last day of the month and it only means it's time for a new "monthly faves" post! For those who doesn't have any idea on what this post is, this is basically where I try to share to you guys all my favorite stuff (frequently used) for a specific month. This is focused on fashion, beauty (minimal), music, and food.
